only blank pages printing from IE6

Sep 21, 2005 10:08AM PDT

A user can not print web pages from IE6. If I sign on as administrator the pages print normally. These workstations are restricted. Users do not have full access to everything. Where is IE trying to write a temp file that the user does not have access to?

You can, he can't.

Are you sure he can if you make him administrator? Tried it? Or could there be some other cause?

Other question, same intention: does this happen with all non-admin users throughout the network? Or with all non-admin users (make a new one to test!) on this particular PC?

Tried repair IE from Config Panel? From this user, I should say (after making him administrator temporarily).

Just some suggestions. If things aren't clear, you have to experiment to find something.

yes, this user is able to print if I put them in the Power Users group.
But I want to know why I should have to do that? What files/directories does a user need access rights to in order for them to print?
It works, but doesn't make sense.
