The University can argue that they didn't kick him out for plagiarism. They kicked him out

Hi, Clay.

The chutzpah of some of these folks is unbelievable -- but the courts are leting them get away too much, too. There was a case at UTMB where two twins passed in identical papers (in Medical ethics, no less) and a jury ruled the school went beyond acceptable limits by expelling them, because the rule book didn;t specifically say plagiarism was punishable by explusion (though a "serious breach of professional ehtics" was listed! Sad )
