Question

Online ISP?

Nov 22, 2016 3:48PM PST
Hey guys, so I live in Mexico and on my city we have like 3 ISP but the max speed they reach is like 20Mbps download speed and 1.17Mbps upload speed, which is kinda bad because I stream and need a stable Internet connection. I was wondering, are there ISP that one can order online? Like a hosting site or a private server one can use as a ISP? Hopefully you understood what I mean. Thanks in advance!

Unclear to me.

Netflix notes 5Mbps for HD. https://help.netflix.com/en/node/306 So 20 sounds fine.

As to the SERVER, almost no ISPs allow that. Some have a don't ask, don't tell attitude and others block ports. Therefore no one can really answer that one. Try DSLREPORTS on your ISPs to see what folk say.

Not quite what I mean

I have problems with my upload speed, as I said I stream and I need a higher upload speed. I think we're talking about different things. What I like to know is that is there a company like AT&T or Verizon, Telmex etc. that works globally? One I can order online with higher DL/UL speeds?

You need a domain and a hosting account

Are your limited on bandwidth per month with those kinds of speeds?

Aha. Some ISPs have business plans

With higher upload speeds. But I can't do much more research on that for you. Mexico has many cities so I'd turn to dslreports to see what is there besides the 3 you found.

I see someone noted hosting. That would be a way to share content at full speed without you needing a fast uplink. Many folk don't do that but capture what they want to share and make a YouTube channel.

https://www.google.com/search?q=livestream+with+youtube covers the livestream setups.

So much is left unknown about your goals here. That is, I can't guess you want to livestream online video games or is this a talking head show.
