Question

Online calendar with 'year' view for scheduling tasks?

Jan 7, 2015 1:25AM PST

My company does campervan conversions and several jobs may be on the go at the same time. We need a calendar in which I can colour code each job/task, and when a client rings up, I can bring up the 'year' view to see when in the future - and it could be several months ahead - an availability slot arises (ie no or a manageable number of colour-coded job/task lines running through the period) so that I can book them in.

The outlook.com calendar would be fine, but there is no 'year' view.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Bertie

I'd forget Outlook.

I did go on a camping trip (yes I cheated and didn't actually buy and tow the AirStream) but their site looked great and had the effects you may be looking for. I'd contact their web author and ask for some help.

It was at http://autocamp.com/

Answer
Cork Board
May 10, 2015 2:44AM PDT

I have a similar system, but I use a cork board, and put the jobs on a work ticket, I pin the ticket to the board with different colored thumbtacks to designate the stage the job is in, and the ticket has notes right on the front to show info like "parts due in on __/__/____" etc,

Do you really want it on a computer when you can view a 6'x4" summary?
