Question

online backup service

Apr 27, 2011 2:24AM PDT

I am trying to find an online backup service that has definite backup times (not like carbonite) and also can do automated restores.

Backup is from Computer A and restore to Computer B
This is to share certain files from one location to another.

We were using ibackup.com but lately we keep having problems getting the backup to run and the restore fails completely every time.

Their tech support does not know what is wrong. So it is time to change.
Total data stored offline is less than 10 gigs, amount being restored is less than 1 gig being compared and only some of the files need updating.

Were paying about 100.00 per year now, but can pay more for something that works.

Any advice please. Thank you

Answer
Online Backup (Timeline Cloud)
Jul 11, 2011 10:41PM PDT

Hi Merl, from
a personal experience I recommend to go with Timeline Cloud, great software and
it has cloud disaster recovery plus they backup to Amazon S3, which is safer
than private storages. I am currently using it, everything is going smoothly.
Set up only took me 5 minutes .unlike Carbonite when I was with them it took me
forever to backup files especially with Outlook
Files you can't locate them and you have to manually go deep in the system to
select them!<div>Also with Timeline
Cloud I am enjoying the ability to access my data anytime through iPhone which is
really handy for me and is saving me a lot of effort and time. You can check
them here: http://www.timelinecloud.com/

t834 - What other service would you suggest?

I see 3 posts with nothing but that title.

This could make one think you are a spammer.

Give us another service to remove the doubt.
