Online backup

by 1Chris / April 2, 2007 11:01 AM PDT

I downloaded Xdrive desktop, and what a disaster. It's been the only thing that's crashed my XP machine in 5 years. But I did manage to transfer 3 1/2 Gb one file at a time using the web version; took me a looong time. When it works, it's great. PC World says that Xdrive is going to start to charging every user - without even telling them. Got on a chat with an AOL rep and got the runaround. I haven't even been able to access Xdrive in 3 days.
So I'm lookin for another online backup service. PC World says Mozy's good too. I'm concerned about downloading the software...what *else* are we downloading?

Wouldn't a 4GB flash drive be cheaper?

Or maybe a single DVDRW disk? I have a dozen I rotate through now.

Take a look at the cute little jingle Mozy came up with. Pretty much sums it up. PC World has a lot to say about it too.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
