Onkyo 705, PS3, Sony 46S2500! Am I good?

I want to hook up up my PS3 to my tv via the Onkyo with HDMI and my HD DVR just strait to my TV with HDMI. I've heard of possible issues with the PS3 playing movies like this, is there any truth to that? I'm simple, I just want to put the movie in and press play, So am I good? Thanks
