OneDrive for Business Critical Error

I used OneDrive for Business for a while in 2016, and I stopped using it because I kept getting a pop-up error message:
"OneDrive for Business needs to close because of a hardware or configuration problem.

Error Description: Unspecified error
HRESULT: 0x80004005
AssertTag: 0x00cfbaf8" **the assert tag isn't always the same

I have had this popping up for so long now, and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I have uninstalled OneDrive so I don't know how it can still be popping up.

Thanks for your help
