Resolved Question

One website will not function

Apr 20, 2012 10:20PM PDT

I am having trouble with one website- "mlb.com" (Major League Baseball) and it's associated sites (team sites, etc). This site opens with the heading and borders of the page, and a row of headings for active menus, but the main area of the page is just white. None of the "buttons" are active. Also, after visiting this site, I have to close Explorer and re-open in order to visit any other site (it seems locked up). All other websites work wothout problem.
I am on Windows XP, Internet Explorer 8. I have cleared the cache, and installed the Java updates. I also have Firefox, and the problem remains if I access the site through Firefox.
Possibly my grandsons have altered a setting?
Thanks in advance.

MLB seems to use SilverLight and create issues on older OSes.

Try Chrome next.
