One stick or two?

Thinking about RAM. Does one get, say, 1x8 or 2x4? Does it matter?

Shop for a kit of matched sticks.

I'm not aware of a down side to this and the effects can be minor to major depending on the machine config and what your running.

If your mobo has more than 2 ram slots check the manual for the proper 2 slots to use.
