One page web site host

Nov 24, 2003 1:43AM PST

Hi All,

I am interested in setting up a one page web site for a home business. I have set one up in the past using a company that does web hosting. You just choose a template, insert text and your up and running. This time I designed my own web page using Microsoft Word and am looking for a company that will let you upload your own web page as opposed to picking one of their own templates. Do any of you know of a company that will allow this?

Thanks for your help.

Bruce

check with your isp. Alot of them offers a meg or two for free.

Please be aware that Microsoft Word is one of the worse webdesign programs you can use. It bloats the codes and will not work properly in non ms browsers.

I'm assuming that because you are a business, you will be wanting to pay for webspace and a domain name (not the free webspace providers and sub-domains) I would suggest that you try www.streamlinenet.co.uk as I have used them for my computing site. They charge as little as

This is not a joke.

I can provide you with the service by a charge on the amount you actually use in the ISP.

I can provide you with the following:

- AU$1.65 per Megabyte, rounded up to nearest USED Megabyte. Only pay for what you use. (This is a total of AU$19.80 a year)

- You provide me with the Word document, I will clean it up for you.

- You can have email/query/feedback form if required.

- I will fully manage it for you, which is included as part of the price. No extra for managmenet.

- Changes are not included. However I imagine that there will be very few a year, if any. Charges apply to AU$65.00 per hour, to pre-agreed amount of hours, minimum 1 hour.

- I can investigate a "pseudo" domain name for you. These are the free domain names available in the net. Search for domains are charged as per changes above.

- Anything else you may require... we can discuss.

What do you think?

I'm building my website, and soon will be up, at www.webimplementation.com.au

Look, the originator asked for a "One page web site host".

I am a provider so I answered with a proposal.

You dont like it?. Sorry, that what is boards are for, not to just pass judgement, without adding any value.

Please refrain from using that attitude.
