one more for ya

when i run spybot this comes up and when i fix it an hour or two later its back again Windows Security Center.AntiVirusDisableNotify: Settings (Registry change, nothing done)

Is this a problem and can it be fixed?,thanks again,padi

It may be that your anti-virus has its "real time" virus scanning turned off. Double check your antivirus settings.

As "byker" mentioned above, it's basically an antivirus thing but has more to do with the Windows Security Center....The Spybot notification is created because YOU have disabled the Windows Security Center notification for antivirus operations. You'll find that option by opening the Control Panel, double click on the "Security Center" icon, then click on the "Change the way Security Center Alerts Me" link on the left side of the screen. When that opens, YOU have UNCHECKED the "Virus Protection" box there..(IN my case, I've unchecked ALL those boxes so the little security "shield" doesn't pop up constantly in the lower right system tray.) Since this is an option that you have selected, you can set Spybot to "ignore" that detection on future scans by RIGHT clicking on the detection in Spybot and choose the option to "Ignore on future scans.
