Download and use "IEFix" - a general purpose fix for Internet Explorer (Win 98/ME/2000/XP):
a. Registers Urlmon.dll, Mshtml.dll, Actxprxy.dll, Oleaut32.dll, Shell32.dll, Shdocvw.dll, [Q281679].
b. Refreshes Internet Explorer using IE.INF method. Note:
"Unable to Install Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP (Q304872)"
"How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows XP (Q31837
"
c. Initiates "SFC /Scannow" (Win2K&XP), [Q310747].
Very often I can log in to a site and use it normally, then after leaving and returning-attempts to login or proceed thru links results in hangs. When that happens-frustrating as it can be as I can not get anything done at the site.
Not sure how else to ask the question. But sure would like some suggestions as to the reason. It is very much as tho the system sets some kind of indicator that says "you been here-thats all, go away"
Using IE6 and Windows XP. Not SP2. This has been a longstanding problem, seems intermittent, happening when of course you need to get a desired result ASAP.
Any suggestions will be appreciated-thank you
