Windows 7 isn't a word processing program. The question was meant to have answer either MS Word or OpenOffcie Writer.

Let's assume that it's MS Word and that you forgot to type the capital in your first post. Then I would delete the default template (normal.dot or normal.dotm or normal.dotx, or whatever it is in the version of MS Word you have but didn't tell about). Does that help?

Answer
Line spacing
Feb 19, 2012 9:27AM PST

Have you actually checked to see if you are on the correct line spacing? Maybe someone has changed it on you?

Have you checked to see that you have a 1 inch Margin all the way around on the PageLayout Menu?

Another thing to check is the spacing before and after Paragraphs on the PageLayout Menu. That could have been bumped way up.

IF either of these are the case you might want to do a CTRL + A keystroke sequence to Select All in your document then manipulate the line spacing.

One other thing you might do is to work with the Show/Hide Marks turned ON! Don't worry about these, they will NOT print. In fact if you Show and Hide - clicking on the button, any thing that appears and disappears WILL NOT print out. But, this is a very good indicator of WHERE things are in your document and HOW they got there. You might also think about turning your ruler on. It is a tiny little ICON just above the slider bar on the right side.

Good Luck!
