If you've saved files to your computer, they should still be there. They're probably in "My Documents" or some other location you've placed them. In fact, you don't need to use OneDrive if you don't want to. You can uninstall/disable it from the computer. On my home computers, I've disabled OneDrive but continue to use it manually, on occasion, to store a few pictures, etc. for the family. Place a "Favorite" to the OneDrive site in your bookmarks and when you choose, access the site, login, then deal with your files without having Windows want to automatically save them elsewhere than on your hard drive..
Hope this helps.

One Drive seems to have wiped out all the files I had stored on my PC's hard drive. Now I get notifications that my One Drive storage is nearing capacity and asking me if would I like to buy more. I already have a 1T local backup drive as well as Carbonite. However, I'd like to have access to my files directly from my PC's hard drive where they've always resided.
Have I been duped so that now I'm effectively forced into a subscription I didn't ask for - again?
