one button checkup

May 4, 2006 12:46AM PDT

I do a daily ''one button checkup'' with norton as a scheduled task every evening. Every time it scans, it comes up with the same 10 errors. Can't find 10 files concerning microsoft.net. I don't recall ''screwing'' up .net as I have others in the past. what can I do ? Reading all the complaints about norton, I just want to say it is a memory hog but has always done an excellent job. (support does need help). Win xp on gateway, norton systemworks 2005 with current virus subscription. Thanks to all who take the time to help others!

Same here. I finally got rid of some stubborn items with thorough reg cleaning. Some active X wouldn't clear using windoctor, ccleaner or tweaknow. They were part of Norton's sysworks. I would put them on ignore, if there's no harm.

That's what I did. I even re-downloaded both the .net frameworks but it is still the same. I guess it just bugs me. Thanks again.
