On the prowl for a great cingular phone.....

by gooodgravy / February 23, 2007 2:26 PM PST

As an existing, valued cingular customer-choke-I'm researching investing in an incredible phone upgrade.
Rule # 1. No smart phones- my ego's too fragile and I can't afford therapy.
I want phenomenal reception(I live on the farm in rural northern CA-not kidding), extraordinary volume(just a tad deaf), and-but of course- an outstanding camera capability! Want to document it just in case something interesting ever happens in my life.
Please send your suggestions. I need your help. My mind is swirling with images of lg cu500's, a707's and w810i's and numerous others all entangled and imploding. Mary Poppins where are you?

let me know what you get

Let me know what you decide upon. I'm looking to consolidate my wife's t-mobile and my sprint account into a Cingular family plan.

I read the reviews on the W810i and it has me back to square one for picking phones.

It is a 3G phone and it is offered free without rebates on wirefly. But I guess I don't see anything else that makes it compelling?

Can you tell me why you think this is a good phone for my next one? I don't think my wife will want it. Thanks.

This phone being on the 3g network will have better coverage and less dropped calles and also is great for Cingular video and music which is only available on 3G phones due to better speeds and coverage with these phones. Also is better for internet. Would 100% reccomend the LG CU500. Can't go wrong at all

Nokia N73
by MyUsernameIsBetter / August 11, 2007 3:29 PM PDT

You said no smart phones, however, in my experience the Nokia N73 is an easy to use phone. After 5 minutes, you should be familiar with all the menus and features. It also has a 3.2 Megapixel Camera finely crafted by Carl Zeiss and is Vario Tessar quality. It's a quad-band phone as well.

I bought the music-edition of the phone, which is not much difference from the regular model.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
