On ear or over ear headphones?

by Headphone_Central / June 6, 2016 8:30 PM PDT

The question many people have answers to. Personally i don't even see why people like on ear. I feel like you can get better sound isolation and quality with over ear.

The full ear cover can be too hot for some. For many it's comfort. Pick what works for you.

Aside from comfort, which would have better sound quality in your opinion? lets say its the same exact materials in each headphone just for the sake of debate.

Over ear is preferable

You can get the best possible sound quality through over ear headphones where manufacturers can make the most out of headphones. On ear headphones with a padded headband are the most comfortable in my opinion for long periods of listening. As you mentioned, there is better noise rejection with over ear headphones. On the point of long periods of listening, picking the right headphones with the right ear cup material which won't make you sweat easily makes life much easier.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
