If the supplier won't help you or Scansoft, then you may ask what the refund policy is.

I am undecided about whether or not to buy Omnipage Pro 14 and would appreciate any feedback, negative or positive, from anyone who has it and uses it.
I would use it on an HP 8200 scanner and Office 2003.
Thanks.

Yeah, that link was to a previous post I made and I was almost ready to buy Omnipage pro 14 then started having 2nd thoughts so figured I would see what kind of comments came out on this forum. I did return I.R.I.S and they refunded my money within two days. That was very impressive to me. I just wish the software would have worked. That's all I want. I am nervous about Omnipage refund even though they say they will refund within 30 days, its just so difficult to find anyone to talk to, that I can see myself timing out if it doesn't work. But my real hope is to get stuff that works right, right out of the box. I don't like the hassles of returns and then being right back where I started. Maybe in a couple of more days someone with Omnipage experience will see this post and make a comment to help me decide. Thanks for your quick and helpful response as usual.

loaded at bootup, but I can remove this via msconfig with no adverse results. It does a pretty good job of recognizing. I originally had trouble with Omnipage, but have now learned to select the normal scanner interface. This allows me to set up the scan which is passed back to the OCR.
