LOL... not me but one of my old business partners
Jun 4, 2007 3:14AM PDT

We started a web business a while back that is now pretty much defunct. I took the name Grim Graphix as a marketing experiment. Phishing to see just how many hits I could generate for our web site by posting in different forums... then tracking results with web analyzer software. That is my buddy Oz... he is one mean artist and a graduate of the KUBERT SCHOOL (ask Ed, he can tell you what that is)... I'm not as gifted, but I'm much better looking Wink

I'm not sure if Oz's current portfolio site is operating but if it is then check it out at www.grimgraphix.com

Greg left soon after he got that site up, to work as an art director for a clothing printer. I dropped into his slot and we got the .com URL soon after.

My man is a 9/11 freak if that is what your talking about. The Oz man is a unique individual.

Like I say Kid... that isn't me. My name is Losh. You can ask Sue for confirmation on that. We have traded emails for close to a year now.

And yes... despite the fact that I like to be the devils advocate when discussing things, I am a fairly moderate person.

You can take me at my word or not.

LOL... I just saw what you were talking about!

Yeah, that was from a couple years ago. I had just started multimedia school. Oz loves this clip. We had to get a few people to store up trash and my buddies neighbors kinda wondered why a bunch of biker types were roaming Oz's trailer park with camera's.

I'm back down to about 180 from 210 back then. I'd spent a year using a cane to walk with but I've got back into decent shape since then.

That was you???

I just cut it off when I graduated 3 weeks ago.

I was looking like someone from ZZ Top. I could braid it. Little kids shrunk back from me as I walked through the grocery store when I had my old motorcycle leathers on (I felt kinda bad about that). Attracted some cute biker chicks though.

Nah... I'm back in the suit and tie world looking for a graduate assistantship.

Congratulations!

You are now gradgrimgraphix !

I took a look at "Comic Life" the other day. Looks like fun. Now I know where to holler for help with it. Happy

Good luck in your search for the assistantship!!!

What field for grad school, Grim -- business?
Jun 4, 2007 5:01AM PDT

As I'm sure you know, not all B-schools are created equal when it comes to how many doors their MBA can open for you.

Well, my BA was in history and this new one is...
Jun 4, 2007 6:00AM PDT

...an A.S. in graphics technology. I specialized in internet and electronic publishing. I'm also 2 classes away from certification in CAD.

I'm considering a masters in education so I can go on and teach full time.

Long story short, I want a job with insurance where I have the spare time and resources to free lance in developing museum resources for historic sites and tourism. At least that is the working business plan right now. I thought about an MBA or even law school but life is too short and I'm too tired to deal with it right now. Maybe later.

I did graduate with a 4.0 so hopefully I can find a decent assistanceship somewhere out there.
