1. Take out the battery and clean the contacts. Maybe a new battery is due. They don't last forever.
2. Read about dust and such in the lens ring area.

The camera I own 1 day just suddenly stopped working. When I plug it in I press the power button then the shutter comes out then retracts. cant seem to do anything after that.
