Olympus OM-1 Upgrade Investigation

by dgroszek / January 29, 2009 7:55 PM PST

Hi
Feeling the need to finally get a DSLR. This podcast helped drive that too, anyway, Back in the day I used the Olympus OM-1. I liked its small size as I would mount it on a telescope. I would like to keep using the lenses I already have for it (55mm). Anybody have a suggestion for me on which DSLR could use these? (and SHOULD I use them since they are totally dumb)... ALSO I want a DSLR that can do Time Lapse. All help appreciated. TIA
DANE

kalel33.

I was starting to check dpreview for details on a new Olympus DSLR and noticed they went from the 55mm 'thread' on the lens mount to a 58mm. I have to double check but I think this will wreck my idea of using my old lenses and telecscope adapters - Then again, I suppose that is the $100 OM adapter you are speaking about. May be cool anyway. Do Nikon or Canon have adapters for the Zukio (OM) lenses?

Any ideas on the Time lapse feature? Thanks a bunch

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
