Question

Olympus Camedia playback info to be removed

Apr 28, 2012 1:08AM PDT

We have an Olympus Camedia D-435 that includes information about picture size, picture quality, date taken, etc., that is shown over a photograph when we call up the photograph on the camera's monitor. The information is displayed for a few seconds then shuts off, leaving the photo to be reviewed. How can we stop the information from displaying, if at all? Thanks.

I have a later model (D-550/C-300) and I can reduce the amount of information displayed for that few seconds.
The reduced setting still displays date/time/picture # and picture quality.
All of the reduced data is displayed at the bottom of the screen (except "HQ" (picture quality) near the top).
I can not eliminate all data from displaying.

I checked the User Manual for your camera and I find no way to alter the amount of information displayed.
Looks like you just have to wait a few seconds for the information to clear with that camera.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I checked the manual online too and found nothing about reducing the amount of info on the monitor. Guess we'll have to wait, which is something our society doesn't look kindly on -- maybe being forced to have some patience isn't so bad after all.....
