General discussion

Olympus C -7000

Hi,
I just saw the CNET editor rating of thei s camera at 6.5 and was wondering three things:
1) what would someone recommend in its place?
2) does anyone have comparison to the Elixim Pro 6?
3) does anyone else have problems with a too bright flash? my usual answer to this dilemma is to put wax paper over the flash, but since this one retracts , that would be pretty hard.
thanks!

C/nets editor rating

Is usually not consistant with the user rating. Check out the user rating before making a judgement and read what people have to say. Just look out for the pretenders who like to put in a write up without owning the product. That throws off the average true rating. C/net does not police for that kind misconduct.

I do not like the CNet rating system for digital cameras. They throw all cameras (DSLR to point-and-shoot) in one category and then try to rank them.
That is not logical.

I cannot find a Elixim Pro 6......
Who is the manufacturer?

If you wanted to put something in front of the flash on the C-7000, you can do it by taping it to the body of the camera (sticking up).

Here is a link to the C-7000:
Note, right under the red stars is a link called ''Read Owner's Opinions''
Click that link and read what owners have to say about the C-7000.
