Olympus does not currently produce any camera with image stabilization.
Which is Odd.
In June of 2000 Olympus released the 2 megapixel 10X C-2100 UZ which was one of the first digital cameras with image stabilization.
This is still a highly prized camera and lovingly called the UZi. If you carry an UZi camera, guard it well. Because a crazed Olymplus fan may jump out of the bushes and wrestle you to the ground and run away with the UZi.
When the long lens C-720 came out later and had no image stabilization, you could hear the anguish and gnashing of teeth of the Olympus fans for miles around.
And here we are in 2005 and still no new Olympus image stabilized cameras.
I read somewhere online that Olympus has a few models with image stabilization. Does anyone know which ones? Any chance the C-7000 Zoom has IS? Thanks
