Question

Old school laptop

Aug 10, 2016 2:22PM PDT

I purchased an old school laptop at an auction. The problem is when it is turned on it automatically goes to the network screen. How can I do away with that so I can use the computer for myself?

That's easy.

Install the OS you want to use on it. Wipe the drive clean to avoid install issues.

Answer
Did any disk come with the laptop?

If you got disk you probably have the disk to do a factory reset.

No disk

No, it was from an auction of older laptops that the school was eliminating.

It's a common enough issue.

And well discussed. If you don't have the OS DVD or memory stick, you get to find/buy one. Some folk think they are entitled to some OS but there are rules.

Did you try ordering a set of restore media from the laptop maker? That's usually cheap.
