Question

old Samsung flip phone

Mar 13, 2017 8:33AM PDT

I have a very old phone and can't switch from letters to numbers to special characters on the physical keys, not a screen keyboard. What am I missing?

Without that folk are left guessing what you have as there were some hundred flip phone models.

The fastest way to get support is to head to your carrier's support counter and have them show you how to use the phone or tell you it doesn't do this.

You are missing a newer phone. Considering you can get a newer 3G/4G phone for $20-30, I can see NO reason to keep trying to use an old 2G phone, especially as 2G is being phased out and already disappeared in many areas already. I'm surprised you haven't gotten a notice from your provider already telling you that your phone will soon be obsolete, or already is.
