It does not matter if it is only for your personal use or if you usually buy the CD down the road if you like the songs, because here in the US there are no such exceptions to the piracy laws. Thus, the only answer that can be provided is to buy the legal CDs, which is why I am locking this thread.
For my personal use only I download bit sharing files. If I like them, I go and buy the real CD to get the HiFi qual.
I used to use Limewire but got fed up of the Spam. So I changed to MP3 Rocket.
In the Limewire days (2007) I used to burn the downloads to a CD for use in the car and for home HiFi (The quality is awful but OK for background music). These old Limewire files on Disc used to work fine, and still do.
I burnt 4 discs yesterday for this purpose, with Mp3 files from the Mp3 Rocket. They won't work in the Home HiFi (Marantz CD-40 player from the 90's)
So, I downloaded some files (Same songs) with Limewire and I get the same problem. The display on the Marantz home CD shows 1 track only (20 loaded) and when you press play the text says SPEC.
All the files - old or new - work on my Mp3 player.
Have I missed a setting on the dowload?
Any ideas team?
