Old Mac Pro mouse work on Windows Vista?

Dec 5, 2009 11:23PM PST

My normal mouse stopped working for my HP Vista Home Premium laptop. I have an old Mac mouse that says "Pro Mouse" on the back that came with my old Mac G4. Will anything bad happen if I plug it into my USB port on my Vista laptop to see if it will work? Will it work? I have had enough driver problems on this laptop already so I'm worried about screwing something else up, esp. if there is no chance of the Mac mouse working anyways.

If it auto installs then it will work. If not, just unplug it. DO NOT GO GET DRIVERS.

It seems to be working for now....I hope it won't cause problems when I reboot with the Mac mouse plugged in....do you think it will?
Thanks again
