Old Lens on New Canon Digital Rebel

I have some old lens that fit an old manual pentax 35mm SLR camera. Will these fit a new digital rebel xt?? Or should i buy a new lens with it??

The Canon camera can not use a Pentax lens.

If it is your first DSLR camera, I suggest you get the kit, which includes a zoom lens that covers the most used focal lengths.

Use the camera for several months before deciding on getting more lenses.
