Have 13 yr old HP win 7. Had problems so took off all important info. Got it running but needs 60 win updates. Should I just run the system restore discs or do the downloads? Will prob just use it to watch netflix as I got new laptop at Xmas Happy

It's always safer to do the updates. Why not?
If you go back to the restore disks, you'll have many more.

A few months back did a full factory restore to a Windows 7 laptop. It took 130 or more updates, about a dozen reboots and 2 days to update. You have less so nod to Kees on this one.
