Question

Old JVC GR-AX7BKU start problem

Mar 5, 2014 10:06AM PST

I would say this question is for the doctor of old camcorders. If moisture were allowed into camera (condensation) and then camera were shelved for a long period of time, might this be why it does not power up? Battery is fully charged, ac to dc adapter is functioning, but power indicator light on camera does not illuminate. Camera disassembled does not appear to be corroded. Where is the humidity sensor in the camera?

Or are there any suggestions, other than turfing the unit as it was a good working cam when it was parked?

Thanks for looking

Widely written up in many forums. Whack it.

I slapped it a couple of times but just like the wifee but it didn't help in either case. Will try again with more vinegar. Anything else would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Can we remove this post?

I can't imagine folk will respond well to that.

-> Next up is we head to ebay to find a working one. Usually cheaper than any repair counter.
