Old Guy Looking For Help

Jul 25, 2009 1:08AM PDT

Will someone advise me on what mp3 player to purchase beside an ipod? I'm looking for superb sound quality for rock music and for movies. I don't need any other gadgets, just simplicity in downloading music and finding it after I download it. Filing, categorizing, etc.

Also, 99% of my listening will be at home, so being here on CNET, it looks like over the ear headphones should be my choice. The headphones should also have superb sound quality for music as well as movies.

Under $200 for both please!

Thanks!

Buy cheaper player, change headphones to pair of your choice

I think I would look at the Sony players -- the cheaper models (say $100) come with basic headphones you can keep as a backup, then choose some phones you really like.
