Old 32LG5000 32" TV no signal from PC.

Hi, I struggled with an old 32LG5000 TV
trying to get an image from a Radeon RX560
graphics card.
Due to the TV having issues with HDMI
due to the EDID identifier being wrong
somehow, I opted for a cheap HDMI->VGA
conversion box.
To begin with, that would not work either.
But then I tried the brute force approach
and broke off the EDID pin (#12) on the VGA
Now there are no issues and image is great
albeit only thru VGA. I get 1080p though!
Hope this helps.
