OL 2003 & Hotmail: Viewing bcc field in sent message

Nov 18, 2004 5:26PM PST

If I use Outlook to compose a message using the bcc field, and send it using a Hotmail account, the copy of that message in the Sent folder does not show the bcc information.

If I compose and send a message using the bcc field with the Hotmail browser interface, the copy of the message in the Sent folder does show the bcc information, but doesn't when it's opened in Outlook.

Recipients on bcc do get the message, so something is happening between the message being sent and arriving in the Sent mail folder. I don't have this issue with Yahoo mail, also a web-based mail program.

How do I get Outlook to save and display the bcc information?

Thanks.

Thanks for the tip, Kees; I gave the suggestions a try. They do make the bcc field available, but in sent messages that I know I sent bcc, the field contains no data.

The data has to be there somewhere, but how to retrieve it??
