I didn't catch the news story at the time but it was brought up last quarter in criminal courts class at school. I remember it being very hard to keep a straight face during class. Thanks for bringing back an old chuckle for me Josh.
And hey, sure he's lost his job, but he now has the fame of being immortalized in a textbook that potentially millions of criminal justice students may study.

Ya' gotta "hand" it to this Judge - he knew how to keep himself awake during those boring hearings!
BTW, I wonder if some of his decisions were based on any particular outcomes during the proceedings, or lack thereof ... ? I hope they thought to burn his gavel after he was gone!

as he apparently had the same feelings and thoughts and beliefs as a certain Joycelyn Elders--we do remember that Surgeon General (dare I say) UNDER Clinton in his ititial Administration--who many here on the left fondly supported. Maybe this "masterbation is a good thing" is a party line thing?
Judge Thompson was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1975 as a Democratic Party candidate. Wonder why the media isn't mentioning this tid bit--they certainly wouldn't hesitated had he been a Republican (and before even thinking otherwise remember Jack Ryan).
I do realize however that the media might not be mentioning party affiliation because their assumption is "must be Republican because Democrat uses intern".
