okay, help please?

hi there.

i was discussing this on one forum, and lost the addy. :\

okay...

my husband bought an online game... he was supposed to receive the game script, but didnt'. he was supposed to be getting a domain with it, but it's a sub-domain under the guy he bought the game from. now the game's offline and we're not programmers and don't know what's wrong.

he downloaded game back-ups and bought a new server, but i'm not clear on the process to move the game files from the old server to the new one.

i've been advised to get a ftp-uploader (done...
and that i have to have a program that can read the extracted files before uploading to the new server (like powerpoint @ $260.00, and i'm not sure what kind of program even wrote the files)

is there another way to do this? lol.

any and all help/advice would be appreciated.
