General discussion

Ok new way to describe it...

When move the curser to the edge of the display screen while I have multiple windows open, all the windows shrink to small windows. But I don't want that. I want it to stay the way it is. Does this make more sense?

Hot Corners?
Mar 29, 2006 3:12AM PST

these, of course, are nothing like Hot Pockets which are a food industry plot to remove all living flesh from the insides of your mouth.
I'm referring to the sections of the screen that, when a cursor is moved to them, causes something to happen. An example of this is the Screen Saver Hot corners. Put the cursor there and voila, the machine sleeps.
You need to check out the preference pane that deals with that. It's the one that allows you to set the "F" key functions. I cannot, for the life of me, remember which one it is but I will find out when I get home and let you know.
There is a possibility that Expose is being triggered in this way

new question!
Oct 22, 2007 1:39AM PDT

I need your help...With Illustrator, when I save it from the Mac to be used as a logo to be printed on a pc, How do I save it? As an EPS? The reason Im asking is cause I did that and now it's not showing the whole picture. It's showing pieces of it. Like it's not showing anything with a 'transparency'. It's leaving big blocks of white or just removing pieces of the picture.... Can you help me? Do you have any idea what Im talking about?? Help meeee.....
thx!!!

Is the same version of Illustrator on the PC as well as the mac?

Are you even using Illustrator to open it on the PC ?

You can convert an image into a rasterized JPG of at least 300 dpi or more, which will be suitable for printing.

Adobe "ACROBAT" Reader?
Oct 23, 2007 1:24AM PDT

Adobe Acrobat Reader is a PDF viewer. Save the image in PDF format and Adobe Acrobat Reader (which many walk-in print shops use instead of photoshop, illustrator, indesign, etc.).

Better yet, contact the print shop or card printing service you are planning on using, and ask them what file formats the want the document saved in.

If you are printing the cards yourself, on a PC/printer setup, then let us know what programs you are using for spacing and formatting the cards.

Ok this is the thing. I have tried every way of saving! PDF, EPS, TIFF, JPEG, AI! Eachtime I try to open on the pc within Adobe reader it says " error while trying to parse an object" and opens the picture without the transparency's , pretty much making the picture look like an amature picture without shading. I just cant figure it out. Im stuck....
