I made a reply in an earlier post of the nature of controlling the spill. That fighting the rig fire was the 1st attempt to help control any spillage as it will contain the control vales/mechanism needed. Upon that failure, the capping or recapping of the oil line at seafloor would have to be attemmpted, whcih is what they're trying to do. The containment box, is nothing more than a spillover area which they pump from to topside and help contain, yet retrieve the oil at less than prestime state.
