Ohhhh! divx movie DVDs

Dec 7, 2005 4:19AM PST

I brought unawares some DIVX hollywood orginal movies. Besides the divx codecs and player(I have) they seem to lack the divx "feature", in order to play. The 1-888# just doesn't refer to divx anymore. From what I found out, these divx dvd's are one time play until you pay for some CC charge and thus can view them. Well, nothing seems to point to that CC charge and the 1-888# appears kaput.

My question, "is this still valid media"? No one sells divx anymore as a commerical venture, or am I missing something further. TIA -----Willy Sad

From Goodwill auction
Dec 7, 2005 6:59AM PST

Brought at auction from Goodwill. They provide as much info as they can, the cost was low and the s/w was more. I figured I had all needed not realizing the "feature" segment was required and seems to be a s/w block of sorts. Divx is a valid media but these commerical releases bit me. thanks -----Willy

But your post is a little light on the details.

Anyhow, you know the forum policy about cracking agreements. So please don't ask for that sort of help.

If the product is as you state, then it's not likely to be more than bin fodder.
