A post with the same subject line. Looked in a few hours
after I posted, and it was no longer to be found.

A little humerous political thing, about how conservatives
and liberals came to be, but I guess it touched a nerve
with someone.

In that we're not supposed to grouse about these things,
I just laughed it off.

a post like that, we should know who it was so as a single malcontent mod won't go insane with abusing his (or her ) power

If that's the only reason for

your wanting to know who it was, don't worry about it. Lee is the one with the access to all deleted posts (they are put into a holding tank area immediately), and it also shows up for him which Mod deleted it.

As for locking a thread, there are again explanations about this that have been posted before.....we try to appease a large crowd whether we agree with a post or not. No matter what we do, somebody somewhere will complain about it. Kinda like being the President.....you can't win even when you win.

The time involved to notify everyone

of every post of theirs pulled and specifically why by email would require a 24/7 moderator, and probably one more for every 10 participants when tempers flair.

Don't see that happening.

...but there was yet another boohoohoo modalert about it from one of the whiny weenie leftists that complains about everything here. One who has become the laughingstock of everybody up and down the chain of command in CNET, that pitiful little thang, lol. Wish he would get lost for good and find a place more to his liking rather than fruitlessly seeking to change this place into his leftist utopia.

Seems that all of that kind work together all at once, doesn't it? I wonder why it's been that way for so many years? Do you think that all of that kind communicate with each other and plan this crap? NOOOOOO! lol........

I thought your post was funny, and truthful as well.

Don't concern yourself Dave, if I have something to say, I've never been bashful or deceptive.

UNLESS, I moved-on following 'Preview' and without clicking on 'Submit', I assumed the only way a post could/would ''dissappear'' would be the result of the author 'deleting' or someone with a red ''M'' monitoring the playground. The first possibility is a real probability, but I didn't care to assume so and re-post. If the second possibility was the reality, and I re-posted,....I didn't care to be responsible for the cardiac event that would follow.

Just FYI, I posted that same article on another forum, and regulars from all political camps have responded with ''LOL's''; ''Hilarious''; etc, etc. So I was really stumped as to why it was pulled here, with no notice on the thread itself or otherwise. Oh well, it's SE, what else need be said.

Why was it removed? I have no idea

That's what should have happened here as well, but noooooooooooo.

It was almost certainly deleted because of the boohoohooooooo whine from that whiny weenie leftist boy. I'll send something to the mod list about it. That post should never have been removed.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
