office XP pro auto save feature

Hi.

i have it set that every minute it will take an auto save. when word crashed and i re-opened word it took the recovery file from 15mins before the crash when it should of taken it from much earlier.

anyone know the problem?

That it works for me. But such saves at 1 minute intervals may be a bit too often and you should try 2 minutes next time. Also you may want to press Ctrl-S from time to time.

But why is it crashing? My machine hasn't crashed in 2 years. Tell more.
