Office Visual Basic Issue

by e. / January 5, 2005 8:38 AM PST

When I close Word I get a series of messages starting with "Can't close Word - Dialog active, switch to Word." I close this and get a dialog box asking for PDF Master Password. Close that and a message saying, "Complier error, can't find project or library." Then a new screen with a message saying, "MS Visual Basic - PDF Maker (Break) comes up and then a message saying, "Close - this command utility debugged." I have similar, but not as extensive issues, when closing Excel.

At one time there was a message about using Office to fix the problem. I followed the instructions but that didn't work. Any ideas what to do to get rid of this?

Thanks. I tried deleting the Normal.dot. That didn't seem to help. I also checked out your MS like but I don't think it applies to my situation. Thanks again for your help.

The addins use such menus and screens for you to control the addins. If you dismiss the link I supplied then you'll have to see if anyone else has a fix for you.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
