Can you check the disk in another computer by using explorer to see if files and folders show on it? If so, there might be some sort of "marginal" problem with the disk or your CD ROM device. This does happen. You may need to clean the disk or reader. If no go, you can usually exchange the product for a new copy where you got it but refunds are rare.
I have a Dell desktop and a Sony Vaio laptop running Windows XP professional. I have been able to install the program on the desktop with no problem. The Sony will not recognize the install disk at all, and keeps acting as if no disk is installed. The disk drive is fine in that I use it for CD's, DVD's and other installations. Any ideas.
