I started getting this popup a few days ahead of Microsoft latest update release . I successfully downloaded all updates but still get this popup. Any ideas?

Message is as follows.

An update for Microsoft Starter 2010-English is now available online.
Please remain connected to the internet for the duration of the update.

Do you wish to start downloading the update now?

So you said OK?

What happened then?
And you rebooted and the same message appeared?

I shouldn't be amazed that it keeps reminding you there is an update if you don't download it. Why the exclamation mark?

Your choices seem to be:
- don't download and accept that you see the message every time
- download and don't see the message any more
- distrust Microsoft and stop using Office Starter

Sounds like you're saying it is a legitimate popup and safe to download and that was my real concern.

Thanks for your replies Kees.
