Office for Mac '08

So, when Microsoft says that Office for Mac will be ready in the second half of the year, do you think they mean WAY at the end of the secong half of they year? The reason I ask is that I would like to have Office for my Mac for college, but would hate to buy Office '04 just because I am going to school in August, which may be before it is released.
Thoughts?

Only Microsoft knows, and probably even the product manager himself hasn't decided yet on the exact release date. So it can't be told, I)'m afraid.

What exact features of Office 2008 do you need in college that make you unhappy with Office 2004?

Thats a good point. From what I can tell '04 is a great product, but is it worth the wait for '08? I guess the same can be said for XP->Vista, (or Tiger to Leopard for that matter) XP will be supported for a few more years to come, and is a proven OS so why switch?

Do you know of any earth-shattering changes to '08, or is it basically the same as Office '07 for Windows?
