In http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Office page a little bit down until you can click on 9.1 Versions for Microsoft Windows OS and 9.2 Versions for Apple Macintosh OS. They show the 'rumors' you heard are true.
Remember the Apple already had a GUI when Microsoft only had MS-DOS. That might explain.

Microsoft was one of the first developers of Macintosh software. They jumped onboard back in 1983.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
