I think any HP printer (or, for that matter, any other printer) will do. Choose any from the list. Start with an older laserprinter (like Laserjet 4 or 1100). If that doesn't work, pick a deskjet.
No harm done if one doesn't work, just uninstall it and try another one.

I am using an HP Pavillion ze4908us. When I run Office 2003 it shuts down saying it encountered an error.
I had this problem last year when I bought it and Microsoft researched it and found it was a conflict with my network printer which is an HP 7660. They had me install a dummy HP printer and that took care of the problem.
My hard drive died and HP just replaced it but I had nothing backed up. I do not know the number of the dummy printer. I still have the case number but don't want to use my 2nd phone call I get from the warranty on the Office on this.
Would anyone know the printer I am suppose to use? I have searched Office knowledge base and find nothing.
