Office 97 Pro and Win XP Pro

Can office 97 pro be used with XP pro? Just curious if anyone here has had or heard of problems? A Google search turned up some problems with xp and std office, but you never know exactly where it existed or what happened.

Yes, with issues.

So far, I find the usual bug is that you get an error message when a .DOC is opend that it's already open. Click on OK and continue. And the spellchecker has been known to either just not work, or fail later. Another owner complained that print preview was way off (it was.)

Microsoft has no plans to fix these issues.

Most of what I did with Office 97 can be done with Open Office from http://www.openoffice.org It's what I use.

Thanks,

I think it better to just leave it with ME and get the new version or open office with XP. I tried open office on ME but had issues. It's been to long to describe what happened.
