Office 365 questions

Oct 30, 2014 7:25AM PDT

Back in April my wife was visiting her parents and saw that their PC had no word processing so she purchased Microsoft Office 365 for them ($70 / Microsoft Store.) I thought that I could also install it since I still use Office 2007. But it looks as if it can only be used on 1 PC and 1 mobile device. So I'm thinking I can install it on my iphone since I do word/spreadsheets on my phone. I have a few questions first. 1: Will my In-laws' documents show up on my phone and my docs show up on their PC because of their cloud service (or can that be disabled - I don't wish to share docs.) 2. Can I then use Dropbox to transfer my docs? 3. I see the word "subscription" used in conjunction with Office 365. Will we have to pay again in a year? Thanks!

It CAN be a yearly charge? How would I know? Also, I inherited office 365 - so to speak, so how can I make it work as a stand-alone program for my In-laws PC and a stand-alone app for my iphone? Thanks for your reply.

Not what I see Office 365 offer.
